Head statue rapid prototype project

Head bust of my client done. The bust is sealed at the bottom and ready for rapid prototype. There will first be a rapid prototype test on a miniature version, and then if it all goes well, it will be printed a lifesized version of it on the EON 3d printer, then will be painted bronze afterwards.
I will post photos of both the rapid prototype test which is around 380 by 282 mm and the final life sized statue when it is completed.

Here is a screenshot from mudbox. Although no longer part of my assigned task, i decided to texture it there anyways.

Just for fun, i gave him rose tinted glasses and a vegas hipster look. The floral casual shirt was done in post. realtime preview in mudbox

Playing around with fibermesh, my first time at it. All i can say is it requires some very tedious work and technique. Rendered in BPR.

Good morning! This is the title of my finished piece. I did this primarily to completely familiarize myself with the entire rendering system of zbrush and to see how far i can push the quality of a zbrush render just using multiple passes. But i know i probably get better results in a more suitable rendering program like maya.

This was done using BPR and lightcap with 8 lights and then another 2 standard lights was used. The background you see is the 8 bit hdri i used to create the lightcap.

And here is now the 3d print test miniature of my client. It was printed using the high end EON printers.

Client also wanted his head on the Sphinx cat, so here is the 3d model of it done. Presented in realtime preview inside of Mudbox. This will be 3d printed as well and then painted bronze.

It’s been awhile since i posted anything. Here is the Carnotaurus, one of the many dinosaur sculpts i did for a client all year long during 2012. Rendered inside Zbrush, “best render”, Click image for hires version.

Osgur- main villian for Unearthed : Trail of ibn battuta


This is Osgur, the main villian for the game Unearthed : Trail of Ibn Battuta. He’s approximately 17k tris inclusive of gear and accessories, using 2 1k texture maps. I have yet to complete the head of this character, so this is just a WIP. Will beautify him in marmoset engine with all its great shaders and hdri lighting, right now he is just presented rendered in maya mental ray and zbrush.

Just wanted to show some of the major 3d assets i did for the game, of which i spent the entire year of june 2008-09. I also did numerous smaller props, environment level detailing work, topology cutting and creating numerous tileable environment texture maps via 2.5d workflow in zbrush.

Kungfu Gecko movie

Just want to show the trailer of the animated feature i worked on in singapore way back 2007. Apparently i left the studio there before the animated feature even got finished. I really don’t know what happened to this film if it will ever get released, it looks really promising though.

I just received my hard magazine copy of the april issue of Animation Reporter magazine. It features my work in 6 pages under the digital sketchbook section. This would be my very first publication.
